The original Green Machine is credited to Al Perryman as Mike Foster notes below. This version was tied by by Contributing Fly Tyer Mike, who took the idea and tied different variations, this one with a brown tail, green ribbing, and grizzly hackle.
Mike's Notes: The Green Machine pattern had numerous versions just by changing the hackle and tail material and keeping the flourescent green body theme. Al Perryman gave me the original when we were teaching together in the Fenwick flyfishing schools.
