The Elvelandet is an original creation by Scott Howell. See his notes about it below. You can see more of Scott Howell's flies at The Flies of Scott Howell.
Scotty's Notes: This fly was designed as my tribute to Erling Olsen of Frogner, Norway. In addition to being a renowned angler and flytyer, Mr. Olsen is also a brilliant photographer and the author of several wonderful books including, "Hair Winged Flies for Salmon & Sea Trout", and "Elvelandet". I'm very proud to say that I've learned much from Mr. Olsen's books and that his work has truly inspired me.
