TYERS NOTES
Conceived in 1961 by Bob
Borden, the Borden Special was originally designed for fishing sea-run 'Cuts' in
Oregon Coastal waters and the Siletz River.
This versatile shrimp-colored pattern has proven to be very effective for
hooking up Pink and Coho Salmon as well as Summer Steelhead.
Mr. Borden's wonderful fly is also a must-have for anglers and guides
throughout British Columbia when fishing 'in the salt' during autumn months.
In addition to being a renowned anger and fly tyer, Bob Borden is also
the proprietor of HareLine Dubbin in Monroe, Oregon. http://www.harelinedubbin.com/index.html
