Bennett's Last Light is dressed by Scott Howell. He writes about the designer: "The 'Last Light' comes from the vise of Michael Bennett, the proprietor of Pacific Flyfishers in Mill Creek, WA. Michael is an accomplished Steelheader, a tremendously gifted tyer, and the author of several insightful angling articles for Northwest Flyfishing Magazine."
You can see more of Scott Howell's flies at The Flies of Scott Howell. See his notes below.
Scott's Notes: The 'Last Light' was originally dressed on a nickle-plated
Alec Jackson Spey hook with a Tag of two strands of (un-twisted) Blue Krystal Flash. The Collar of mixed Purple and Black Hen hackle can also be substituted with Purple Guinea Fowl. While not concieved for any particular Pacific Northwest river system, this exciting Steelhead pattern is ideal for very dark water and low-light conditions anywhere.
