Floating Vineyard Eel was tied by Salmonfly.Net Contributing Fly Tyer William Lovelace.
Bill's Notes: " I found this fly in Cooper Gilkes Bait and Tackle Shop on Martha’s Vineyard in 1999. It was tied for Striper fishing and has since been tied there in many color variations including black. I tied the head with mono over the stick on eyes courtesy of time spent with my saltwater tying Guru Bill Nelson. "
"I think you may want to try this fly if you want a little more buoyant fly than the regular sand lance ties. I have used it with very good success in the waters of Baja. I have given them to friends fishing in Alaska and Baja who have reported back with good results for many fish species."
