Getting to Know My

Music Relations

Heidi Stoermer
--backing vocals--

Heidi is an award-winning vocalist whose energy, creativity and versatility brings my music high above the rafters. Our voices sound great together, and I am blessed to have worked with her. You must catch her at one of her own gigs as well. I let her take one of my songs and put her own words to it. I've never heard it, but I know the music sounds great (smile.) Heidi is a local favorite and for those who haven't yet heard her, trust me, you will love it.
Jessie Caro
--backing vocals--

Her vocals add another dimension of passion to my music. Jessie is the band member who has worked with me the longest, since 1998, and we enjoy sharing our musical endeavors with each other. As the once lead vocalist for local country folk band, "Civil Servants", Jessie breaks out of her normal vocal comfort zone when she works with me. And, we love it!
Sasha del Rosario-Cables
--electric and bass guitar--

Sasha is a multi-talented musician. He may not consider himself a "guitarist", but I personally think that he is extremely skilled at his guitar playing. He is also one of the local area songwriting geniuses.
Kurt Sakumoto--Drums
I have tried to work with this gentleman many times over the years, and now I am finally honored to do so. Just to let you know, he is one of my favorite drummers in the Puget Sound Area. He is also a multi-talented musician and budding songwriter.

Other Band Participants, Past and Present

Tamarah--flute, saxes
Tamarah is my flute and sax player, who also played the clarinet for "Under a Weeping Willow". She eventually wants to join my band as a permanent member. Until then, you will certainly feel fortunate to hear her when she is able to perform with us.
Mary K. Blackburn--vocals
Mary is one of the most innovative lyricists and melodists I have ever met. Mary will occassionally perform with me when she can escape her busy schedule, so keep an eye out for her.
Jen Cunningham--keyboard, vocals
An awesome songwriter in her own right, Jen's contributions to the band was refreshing. I haven't seen much of her these days, but I am certain she is enjoying bringing up her firstborn. Perhaps our paths will cross again soon.

Other news, I bow to my friends with love and affection,
Red Rhys and Cricket,
who have both performed with great commitment
alongside me, sharing their wonderful music with my own.
Although we will certainly occasionally perform together in the future,
Red has decided to dedicate most of his music time
pursuing his soul's music and has already released his
recording his fourth and fifth CDs. Cricket has decided that the business of music
is not within his life journey at present, and would prefer to play
music without the business ties.
To both of my friends, I love you and support your lives.
Have fun!

"Waiting for Mary"
I have had the honor of collaborating music writing
with a wonderful lyricist, Mary K. Blackburn.
We originally called ourselves "MadMary"
(short for Madeline and Mary--who would have guessed?)
but discovered there is another band by that name.
We decided on a new name--"Waiting for Mary".
Our music is bittersweet and beautiful, and we plan to record our songs
some time in the future for your listening pleasure.
