Celtic 3 - 0 HeartsKick off 3pm Saturday 6th FebruaryThe result of this game suggests a commanding performance by Celtic in what should have been a major test. In actual fact Celtic put in a moderate performance yet were able to secure all three points with some ease thanks largely to a dismal performance by the visitors. Hearts are a club in crisis and were never really at the races so to speak. Celtic themselves never really got into top gear but still emerged comfortable winners in a somewhat uninteresting contest in bleak conditions.The goals were all scored by Henrik Larsson, the first of which after 21 minutes was cleanly finished by the Swede from a Tom Boyd through ball. Four minutes later it was two thanks to some shocking marking by the Hearts defence, Larsson heading home from a Moravcic corner. Larsson's Hatrick came half way through the second period from the penalty spot after O'Donnell was brought down in the area. |
