Fergus McCann this week appointed Frank O'Callaghan as Celtic's new non-executive chairman. O'Callaghan is a respected member of the Scottish business community and a lifelong Celtic fan. He was Celtic's number one target and was unanimously approved by the board, McCann said of his new man "I have no doubt Frank's abilities and experience in heading public companies and management within the leisure industry will be of great value in leading the board to continued growth and success." O' Callaghan was financial controller then Director of Stakis plc until leaving in 1989, since which he has been guiding a number of companies including McDonald Hotels. On his appointment O'Callaghan said "I am honoured and very much welcome the opportunity to join an organisation of Celtic's stature, and look forward to building on the success of the club in recent years." |
