SYDNEY CELTICJuly 5th 1998Celtic's Danish stars are coming home after being knocked out by holders Brazil 3-2. All Celtic's internationalists have now been eliminated and now we must hope not to many injuries have been picked up. On the manager front, it is begining to look like Celtic may secure the services of Gerard Houllier, however the fact he is stalling makes me somewhat suspicious. Tomorrow is the draw for the first qualifying round of the champions league, teams to avoid are the eastern European sides such as Liteks of Bulgaria or Oblicic of Yugoslavia. If we get through the first qualifier then round two includes several tough ties such as Manchester United, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Benfica. Probably the best draw would be Sturm Graz of Austria or Brondby of Denmark, all other options look very tough.
