Alan Stubbs will not be leaving Celtic Park this season. The English transfer deadline is less than three weeks away and Celtic now have a cup semi-final to play after that date. With Reiper out probably for the rest of the season and Annoni injured too Celtic would not be willing to let their top central defender leave, especially when the bids made are well below the market value of the player.

Celtic qualified for a semi-final cup meeting with either Ayr Utd or Dundee Utd after beating Morton 3-0 this evening. Mark Viduka scored a stunning goal after nine minutes. He added his second seven minutes from time half, although he knew little about it, after Henrik Larsson had capitalised on a defensive error by Fenwick to score Celtic's second.

Further good news for Celtic supporters is the now inevitable demise of Jim Farry, the SFA Chief Executive. It is expected that he will be dismissed early next week as a result of his incompetant behaviour in relation to the registration of Jorge Cadete.
