Aston Villa are apparantly about to table a £4 million bid for Paul Lambert. There are other teams also interested, however in light of the fact Paul returned to Scotland as his wife was unhappy away from home it seems unlikely that he would want to move. Equally although £4 million would represent more than a 100% profit Celtic would be unlikely to part with such an influential player with so much of his contract yet to run. Celtic are apparantly battling with Everton for the signiture of "The new George Weah" - Ivory Coast striker Ibrahim Bakayoko. Valued at around £3-4 million, Bakayoko currently plays in the French league for Montpellier. My sources believe however that Everton are already close to securing a deal and it is unlikely that Celtic will be able to do anything at this late stage. Finally Henrik Larsson was at the centre of some controversy as he was involved in the clash that resulted in the dismissal of Paul Ince from the field of play. Sweden won the game 1-0 after a headed goal by Mjallby, Larsson had a good game and came through the game unscathed.
