About Our Webring

The reason I have started this webring is to try and bring a better understanding and awareness of mental disorders in children. So often parents are made to feel that it is their fault that their child behaves the way they do when that couldn't be further from the truth. Many parents who try to find help for their child run into roadblocks at every turn and one of the biggest ones is funding or lack of understanding. Did you know?

• A conservative estimate is that a total of 12% or 7.5 million of the country's 63 million youths under the age of 18 have mental, behavioral or developmental disorders. Yet, only one fifth of these children and adolescents who need mental health treatment receive it.
  

• Mental disorders are more common than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease.
