As you round the corner of the shed you first notice the scents of the Herb Garden . Thyme and sage, oregano and chives, all in bloom in mauves and pinks. Wild strawberries run along the path. Here and there self-seeded borage pops up, their blue blossoms just starting to open. Bees buzz everywhere, busy collecting nectar in this spicey sweet garden.

Further along the plantings change. With a bit more shade and a bit more moisture primroses thrive. They line the brick path and vie with violets and anemone for space. This garden shines in the spring. Tulips of royal colours, bright primroses and bleeding hearts bloom. Everything is green and cool.

A path takes you to past a hedge of bridal veil spirea, you see a rustic bench and sit and look back on the garden with the old shed as a backdrop.

In summer yellow stella d'oro daylilies and blue Centaurea montana grow in front of red maltese cross and yellow digitalis lutea. A butterfly bush rushes high to reach its full height by fall when it's purple blossoms will be an invitation for butterflies far and wide.
