The sun was brightly shining,
A little too hot
The geese were softly swimming,
There was no breeze in the air
A tiny 6 year old red head in her hot pink bikini
Her bright eyed 5 year old cousin in her bathing suit too
The peaceful days of spring at my house they play
Laughing and loving...bringing happiness our way
The innocence of childhood,
Everything is new
They share their discoveries with me
~~a little frog, a bug, a gardner snake (or two)~~
The flowers they pick will surely fade and die
But in my heart they will forever be fresh
I will recall their bright happy eyes on this new
Spring day, as I watched with pure love,
My two Grannie Babies play
They bring joy to our lives,
Thoughts of years past
Their moms at that age...
And of their Uncle Mike too
Living and enjoying each day, every moment
Loving each other the way only cousins can
We live through our children
(oh yes…that is true)
God truly blessed me the days he gave me
~~~ My precious two ~~~
Their friends come from everywhere to join in the fun
They share everything they have
...the days just begun...
Jumping and twirling clapping hands in glee calling out loudly...
I enjoy the moments I laugh until I cry
File the memories for later
As I wipe the tears from my eyes
