November is coming up fast and that means time for NANOWRIMO! What is NANOWRIMO, you say? NANOWRIMO is what you get when you encourage thousands of aspiring novelists to put 50,000 words down in just 30 days. How crazy is that? Well, it's so crazy that I've been participating since...2001. That's right, three years and this year I'm going to do better than last year (a measly 2,314 words). Really I am!

In the past this has been a fun exercise at motivating myself to write but seriously, with school, commuting between downtown and Vashon, and looking for work I'm not sure when I will have time to focus on writing. This is a problem. I think my failure as a writer is that I don't sit down and write every day. The lack of many recent LiveJournal posts is evidence although the advent of the crimson moon last night harbors new beginnings for me as this occurred in Taurus, my sun sign (it means new beginnings for everyone but especially for me as I am most comfortable with Taurus energy, something not everyone can handle because it is deeply fixed in earth energy).

I have been itching to write and I have new approaches to many ideas I've developed for my novel.
