One is in the 6th trump, and one is in the 7th trump.

Rv:11:13:
 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. (KJV)

This is the first quake. This takes place in the 6th trump before the 7th trump, which means before Christ has returned. This is not the quake that happens when Christ returns.

A tenth of the city falls, and 7000 men die.
 

Rv:11:14:
 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. (KJV)
Rv:11:15:
 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (KJV)

Now the lord shall be returning and will cause a second quake.

Rv:11:16:
 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, (KJV)
Rv:11:17:
 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. (KJV)
Rv:11:18:
 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. (KJV)
Rv:11:19:
 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)
 
 

Now, after this verse we leave the 7th trump and go back in time, to the first age, then to this age when satan is booted out,  then it warns us of the 666.

We dont come back to the 7th trump until the following verse

Rv:14:1:
 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. (KJV)

So lets splice back together the verses dealing with the quake and christ standing on the MT.

Rv:11:19:
 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)
Rv:14:1:

Thats easier to read when there is no interuption inbetween. Seems to throw people off track.

There is a quake, and then Christ is seen on the MT. That quake is when he touches the Mt. of Olives. (Zec:14:4)

He then is with the 144000 on Mt. Sion. He has collected them at that twinkling of an eye, when he gathers them at the 7th trump.
 

Mk:13:26:
 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. (KJV)
Mk:13:27:
 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. (KJV)

They are gathered to Mt Sion. He works fast eh?

Ok, now theres another account of the quake of the 7th trump.

Rv:16:17:
 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. (KJV)
Rv:16:18:
 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. (KJV)

Compare that to the 7th trump.  It's the same event.

Rv:11:19:
 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)

Rv:16:19:
 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. (KJV)
Rv:16:20:
 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. (KJV)

This quake is far more destructive than the wimpy quake in the 6th trump.
The city is divided into three parts which is more destructive than a mere tenth falling.

And then then cities of the nations fell totally, every island fled away and even the mountains were leveled. Serious power here!

One more witness to this:

Zec:14:4:
 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.  (KJV)

What day is this? The lords day. What's the lords day? The seventh trump. Not the 6th trump where the first quake is, the 7th trump with the second quake. The second quake happens when christ touches ground on the Mt.
