Dad was assigned to write this year's Stucki Family Christmas Newsletter, so naturally he's just getting to it now. So, in light of the fact that it is a week after Christmas, we decided to instigate a new tradition called the Stucki Family New Years Newsletter and delegate the writing of said document to the girls. So now let's see what we have to say about last year's most significant activities…
Emily - Hiked to Timpanogos Cave and Stewart Falls (do you have any idea how many steps that is for a girl my size?) I started piano lessons and did great in my first recital. I also have a pet bunny (Rabbi). Melanie - Mom, Emily, and I went to Disneyland. Steven left on a mission to Argentina Buenos Aires North last August, which was very significant this year. Emily did fantastic at her first piano recital. Alyssa - Guitars Unplugged was really cool. In the intro, Steven said he was a part time standup comedian, then they showed shots of him cracking up. It was great. The MTC farewell, driving, and I get my license this year, pretty much sum it up. Oh… and BYU beat Utah in a last second thriller, and I was there. Amy - Continues to pursue dancing. I will be a senior in high school next year, and I want to get better at dance and maybe study dance in New York City. Steven (vicarious contribution) – Left on a mission to Argentina Buenos Aires North in August and has already been out nearly six months. We receive inspirational letters from him every week. Steven recorded two cds prior to his departure… Diamonds and Livin' The Movies. Camilla - Went to New York City this year and saw many of the sights and sounds of Manhattan. Going back up to school in Logan at Utah State. Mom and Dad fulfilled a life-long dream when they went to the Caribbean early last spring. Now they are enjoying all of us here at home where the girls rule! Highlight this Christmas was when we all were able to talk to Steven for 52 min. Lessons learned or at least reinforced this year:
We love you, The Stucki Crew
