Kaleb and I decided a speedy marriage was not what we wanted. I wasn't sure I wanted the marriage at all. So we decided we'd wait another year or so. Our parents didn't agree, they insisted we get married asap. Something about how when they where our age, a young marriage was not an option but a requirment, and I didn't want it to be that way for Kaleb and I. I loved him, but not in the way I love Brian. Brian had this effect on me, a feeling that made my insides turn inside out when he smiled. I tried ti erase him from my brain. It was no use, he was always there. The night before Kaleb and I left for Los Angeles I told him about the baby. His eyes glowed and I could tell he was excited. "Oh honey this is great! We'll start a little family. Now I don't want you taking on a huge load while we're in L.A." He said trying to ensure my wellbeing. He hugged me tightly and I wished it was Brian hugging me. I decided right then and there I was going to tell Brian once the baby was born. I knew I had to tell them both, I had no choice I felt horrible carrying a lie.
Our plane landed and the warm L.A. sun hit my face as I walked out of L.A.X. So this was it. The city of swiming pools and movie stars. A man held a sign with my name on it right in front of a limo. "Is that for us?" I asked kaleb as we walked towards the car.
"Honey thats for you!" he said. The driver opend the door, and put our lugage into the trunk.
"Miss, I have orders to take you to your Condo for the time you'll be staying in the southland, and then starit to Jive records incor. where the President is waiting to talk with you," he siad.
"Ok sopunds good," i said having no clue as to any of the scheduale. The record company knew about the pregnancy and decided to hold off on photo shoots till the baby was born.
"Honey look there's Rodeo Drive," Kaleb pointed out.
"Woe. Just like in Pretty Women huh?" I laughed. Kaleb really was a sweetheart, he just wasn't the one.
