"Nick are you sure you can handle her?" I asked.
"Honey, I have four siblings I think I can handle my own child," Nick shined his smile.
"I know I know it's just I'm not sure if you can handle her wehn she gets hungry or tired or grouchy," I gripped handing Makayla to Nick.
"Nikki we need to have a little father, daughter bonding okay," he said holding Makayla tightly.
"Okay I'll only be gone for an hour and I have my cell if you need me I can be home in ten minutes top," I siad.
"Go!" Nick yelled to me.
"Okay," I said standing on my tiptoes to reach his lips. "Anything you want?" I asked him.
"Only you babe," he smiled. I flshed him a srcastuc smile and hopped into the Navigator. It smelt like baby. I loved the smell and was so happy to finally have it in my own car and home. I raced through the store eager toget back to both of my babies. I walked through the garage door. i found Nick asleep with tiny Makayla in his arms. She had her tiny hand wrapped around his large index finger. I couoldn't help but stare at them. I thought quickly and found my camera. I snapped tons of photos of the two. "Nick," I whispered in his ear.
"Huh?" he asked slowly waking up.
"Put the baby in her cradle," I said. He got up and strolled with Makayla to her crib.
"How was the store?" he asked.
"Good. I just jetted through there like a mad women," I said.
"Why?" he asked taking potatoes out of the grocery bag and peeling them.
"Well I left both my babies at home, I missed you guys," I said leaning over to kiss him.
"I missed you two but Makayla and i had a blast I taught her all about football," he said seriously. I tried to hide the laugh but it just came out.
"Nick she's a week old," I said.
"Yeah but the first five years of a child's life effect them forever. She's gotta learn sometime better sooner than never," he said. i laughed. I finished putting the roast in the oven and wrapped my arms around Nicks waist.
"Your parents are coming over for dinner tonight," I said. I knew he liked to be away from them whenever possible but I wanted them to spend some time with Makayla and Nick.
"Nikki why did you invite them?" He asked.
"Nick their your parents. They love you and they love makayla," I said.
"Don't forget how much they love you," he said.
"Common Nick they just like me," I siad.
"No I swear they always tell me if it wasn't for you I would be some drunk out bumb of a rock star. I guess they thank you for having my kid and making me settle down," he said.
"Thank you...Thank you, it's been a long road but it was worth it. I got a total cutie out of it," I said.
"Thanks I am pretty cute huh?" he asked.
"No I meant Makayla," Isiad and kissed his neck.
"Oh Nick I forgot milk," I said.
"Well I'll go out and pick some up ok?" he said.
"Sure," I said and Nick bounded out for the store. I was making the mashed potatos when I heard Makayla scream. I turned off the burner and ran to get her. I picked her up and put her in her carrying puch that slipped around my shoulder. I began making the drinks when I decided to turn on the cd player. I turned on Millenium and began to jam to 'the one,' Makyal and I began dancin and singin like there was no tomorrow. I didn't hear the door open cause the next time I turned around Nick was standing in the doorway. "So are you getting my dollface here for showbizz?" Nick asked.
"Oh yeah I'm ummm prepping her up," I said and smiled.
"I love you," Nick said walking over to me and picking up Makayal and hugging me.
"Nick?' I asked.
"Yeah?" he said.
"Will we always be like this?" I asked.
"Well I mean we'll grow old and Makayla will get bigger but we'll always be together as for the other stuff. Time will tell,' he said and kissed my head.
The End!!!
