Ah, now comes the time to teach your
children some Craft Theology. But what and how to teach them?
Young children are
able to understand the concept of Mother Nature fairly easily. The
introduction of the God as Father Time, is also well understood by most
youngsters. Take walk with your children and teach them about
Nature. Let them ask questions, and if you don't know the answer,
offer to look them up with your child. Just remember, don't let your child
eat or touch any unfamiliar plants. Some are poisonous and you don't want
to take any unnecessary trips to the emergency room.
Another thing to begin teaching your child is about the Wheel of the Year. This is where your Nature walks will come in handy. Start off with just the four seasons. Most young children can understand that concept easily enough. Take pictures and create a poster of the seasons. Start off with a large piece of poster board and draw a large circle on it. Divide the circle into quarters and label them appropriately. Add your pictures to the poster, and then discuss the poster with your child.
