AUBURN, Wash. - The members of Greater Northwest Lodge 11, Mt. Rainier Lodge 738 and Women's Slovenian Union Branch 79 of Enumclaw, Wash., opened the Christmas holiday season with a joint Christmas party which was well attended. We enjoyed plenty of good holiday food, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus. The Puget Sound Button Box Group played throughout the afternoon for singing and dancing. Santa talked to 18 young children and presented each with a gift and candy cane. A drawing was also held, the proceeds from which were given to the Auburn Food Bank to help extend the holiday spirit.
Remember, the next Lodge 11 meeting is planned for Jan. 2, 2000, at the VFW Hall in Auburn. A happy new year to everyone!
