Psalms 91:11 {QUOTE: ANGELS}
In our series opener, we examined the possible evidence that there is a direct link between the righteous fear experienced by angelic encounters of the Old and New Testament and the fear paralysis reported by numerous individuals claiming to have had encounters with alleged extraterrestrials or alien beings.
We have briefly illustrated asimilar reports associated with this paralyzing fear that has been reported to accompany both angelic encounters and EBE contacts. Now we present the evidence, suggesting that alien enocunters with UFO occupants is within the same genre as are those experienced during alien contacts with UFOs of the Bible. There have been very few changes to the actual content of those types of encounters. What's changed, is how we look at the Biblical interpretaton; how we express that new insight. How does the evidence stack up?
The results of this research brought new understanding and insights through modern translations of the Biblical texts.
I relied heavily on the Holy Bible for scriptural prose, from whence comes the translations for angel encounters. Here, we used a reliable source of translation through Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible. We then examined all of the angelic evidence as reference material,
In the Bible, fear, awe...respect were words used to describe the debilitating fear during direct, angelic encounters. We examined the evidence in the form of the Greek and Hebrew texts. We were looking for llustrations of angel encounters that resulted in some reaction of fear, awe or respect. The alien encounters of today are largely the same, its just how those words are used today. We must eliminate any misintrpretation due to ignorance of the actual texts.
What we found, was that one could easily see similarities between the alien encounters (of today) and the angelic encounters (of old).
We will begin by listing all of the biblical references to angelic encounters that suggest a paralyzing force while in the presence of those angelic beings. With each listing will be a brief Biblicale illustration in verse.
Next, we shall examine modern UFO contactees and experiencers and compare those experiences with the encounters with what the HOLY BIBLE refers to as angelic, heavenly encounters. The writer of those texts felt that the information was important enough to chronicle those angelic encounters and the individual's reactions to those encounters. They did that to preserve the experience, at least historically, as accurately as possible. We run into trouble when we stray from viewing the Bible as an accurate, historical document. Its accuracy has often been disputed, but never successfully challenged by any known group.
Therefore, for all intents and purposes, the Holy Bible remains amongst the best source for the verses that relate to UFOs in a historical sense. I along with many others dispute the translations that have been offered by so-called scholars who have largely given a demonic label to UFOs that are seen today. There are many who call themselves Christians, ministers and evangelists, which have grossly distorted translations from the Old and New Testament scriptures. I say that "if you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk."
IF my suspicions are correct, that God and His angels are represented by the UFO and related phenomenon, then He is a real and dynamic force that is active in our world today. Without gile or reproach, He is the same as he ever was; it is our view of who and what he is remains that remains an issue. The same applies to the UFO. They are here and they are here to stay. They remain a viable phenomenon that is ripe with misinterpretation. Ironic, isn't it.
The Fear Paralysis: Scriptural evidence: The books of the Bible that deal with the fear induced paralysis, span from Genesis in the Old Testament up to and including Revelations in the New Testament. The fear paralysis is usually evoked when a person(s) are exposed to this form of radiant presence.
Exodus; Chapter 3; Verses: 2 and 6
This chapter of the Bible deals with a rebelious Moses, who'd spent 40 years in the wilderness, described as a dry and barren place. He was ready to listen, and the message that was delivered was given by a UFO, hovering behind a bush.
The Burning Bush; EXODUS 3:2-6
"The angel of Jehovah apppeared to him in a flame of fire from the middle of a thorn bush. Moses looked and behold, the thorn bush was burning with fire. and the thorn bush was not burned up!"
The intense radiance of the light that Moses had encountered was such that Moses could not look upon it (verse 2). The vegetation would appear to be burning, as intense rays of dopplerized radiation bathe him in an unearthly glow.
A VOICE FROM BEYOND;
In verse 5, This Angel of Jehovah instructs Moses...
"Do not come near here, pull the sandals off of your feet for the place on which you are standing is HOLY GROUND" (Emphasis mine).
In verse 6, God actually warns Moses that he is standing on hallowed ground and that he must remove his sandles. At one point, the Bible says that Moses "hid his face" from this overwhelming experience. The question is whether that fear paralysis is due to the radiant energy emitted during those experiences or is it the fact that their inner fear eventually took over, causing absolute submission before this entity who called Himself GOD.
James Cook was given a message, as he encountered a UFO object that landed before him. James was also advised not to touch the ladder and the ground at the same time. He was to observe certain criteria while in the presense of this UFO vehicle.
After making the mistake of not following their instructions, James received a nasty burn mark on his hand. He was left with this, the only shred of solid evidence and a message given by the UFO occupants. They were the only reminder of his unique experience.
