Tibet

The Tibetan Dance Troupe (billed as China on the main program, but at all other times referred to as Tibetan) was everything you would have wanted them to be.  First they entered with a grand procession, all maroon and gold and long brass bugles and big cymbals.  They had a variety of different acts, all extremely polished.  They were clearly full time professionals.  My favorite dance started with half a dozen masked men, joined by half a dozen masked women.  When the men pulled back their masks the first time I watched them I was blown away.  They were just beautiful!  (Not that the women weren't something special!)
