Searching for seasonal farm scenes, some friends and I headed for Poong-gak a small farming town near Daegu.  In photos 1-2 and 4-5 farmers harvest garlic.  In photo 3 a man tends fires to clear barley straw from his harvested field (barley is planted and harvested twice a year in Korea, the first harvest was just taking place).  In photos 6 and 7 you can see the new rice seedlings in the fields.  Below is a photo I took with the tripod of me with photographer friends Gukjin and Oohee.  Behind us is the main street of Poong-gak.  Looks like a happening place, huh?
