Chapter Two
Surprised at the intrusion Felicity shot to her feet as her eyes searched out the figure to the voice. Her eyes finally catching a glimpse of a lean body that kept disappearing in the darkness she noticed the glint of his light hair. Narrowing her eyes she hesitantly reached out to feel him with her senses. Feeling his power surge through her in a sudden manner she almost became drunken with it.
Trunks moved through the trees and underbrush with interest as he watched the Felicity, who was acting like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Who are you?" Felicity called out as she pulled her senses sharply away from his.
Trunks hesitated to say his name, but as he was about to he quickly stopped as the strong sense of his father came to him.
Felicity silenced herself as the sense of power of another seem to radiate around her. The feeling was familar~then again wasn't. Turning around slowly almost as if afraid to see what was waiting for her she closed her eyes as she then let them open slowly and behold the image that has haunted her all her life.
Vejita had to steel himself as her bright violet eyes looked into his, the curve of her lips turned downwards in confusion and concentration, her flushed cheeks turning bright red as her dark hair created a smoky halo around her heartshaped face. She looked like she did when he saw her last. When he touched her last.
Felicity took in a sharp breath as she hesitantly stepped away from him and found herself colliding into something firm. Yelping in surprise she spun around to see another version of the man in her dreams, only with lavendar hair. Lavendar hair?
"TRUNKS" Vejita raged at seeing his son.
"Father~" Trunks began with a thousand apologies in his mind.
"LEAVE" Vejita said sternly, his voice low and threatning.
Trunks shocked nodded and disappeared.
Felicity stared at him for a moment, not sure what to say. 'Was he real?' ran through her mind.
Vejita finally let his feet touch the ground as he still wasn't quite sure what to say to her, his voice was stuck in his throat for the first time.
"Who are you?" Felicity whispered, her soft alto voice carrying in the wind, he was staring at her as if he had known her, but how could he? She never wanted to believe her mother, her lies. . .but now--were they lies? It became real to her. He was real to her.
Those words stung him more than he thought they would as he could do nothing but just stare at her.
Trunks came into the house to almost be attacked by his mother, "I know YOU KNOW where your father is! Where?" she demanded. Staring at his mother closely for a moment Trunks just shook his head, "he's in the woods"
"Do you not hear me?" Felicity demanded her eyes flashing with misguided indignation.
Recovering his voice slightly Vejita cleared his throat, as his cheeks burned with embarssment, shock, and anger at letting himself feel the earlier emotions, "Vejita" he said lowly.
Approaching him slowly as she took in a closer look, imprinting his facial features in her mind she stopped an inch shy of him.
"Vejita" she said quietly trying his name on her soft lips.
As Vejita watched her closely he felt himself flung violently back in time.
The slight lift of her chest as she breathed slowly, her eyes gently shut. Smoothing out the sheets around her lithe body Vejita stared at her intensely. The silver light from the stars painted her face in shadows. Brushing a stray piece of hair from her face his concentration on her was broken as he felt an annoying pain. Spinning around to see a hand gripping his tail tightly he growled lowly from the bottom of his throat as he turned to see Felicity sitting up in all her glory, his tail intwined in her fingers as she was dissolving in a fit of laughter. "Felicity" he raged, and to anyone near them they would bet he would strike her, but underneath she knew the tenderness behind his frown. As she tackled him full force her tail whiped around and grabbed his as she planted kisses of adulation all over his defined features. "FELICITY" he howled this time as she stilled on top of him and stared down at him. Gazing up in her full splendor he felt his heart skip a beat, "Princess. .. " he said finally using her formal title as he stroke the cleft in her chin. "My Prince. . " she whispered smiling tenderly at him as she leaned down slowly. . .
