SSH 2B was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 2 (Bothell Branch) in Lake Forest Park and headed northwesterly to Jct PSH 1 (US 99) near the King-Snohomish County line. SSH 2B is now part of SR 104.
