Secondary State Highway 2I

SSH 2I was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 2 (now the junction of US 97 and SR 970) at Virden and headed southerly, ending at Jct PSH 3 (now SR 10) SE of Teanaway. In 1953, this highway was rerouted in a more southeasterly direction from Virden to Jct PSH 3 in the NW outskirts of Ellensburg. When the current state highway numbering system was first posted in January 1964, SSH 2I became SR 131.
