SSH 3U was added to the state highway system in 1967. This route began at Jct SSH 3J (SR 231) about a mile south of Valley and headed easterly approximately 1.5 miles to Jct PSH 3 (US 395). This route was never posted as SSH 3U, only as SR 232.
