Secondary State Highway 4A

SSH 4A was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 4 in Republic and headed east for about 3 miles to what later became Jct SSH 3P, then turned left and headed north via Curlew, ending at the Canadian border at Danville. When the current state highway numbering system was first posted in January 1964, the first three miles of SSH 4A became SR 30 and the remainder part of SR 21.
