Secondary State Highway 5L

SSH 5L was added to the state highway system in 1937. This route began at Jct PSH 5 (now SR 7) in Morton and headed southwesterly, ending at Jct PSH 5 at Riffe. In January 1964, SSH 5L was resigned as SR 141. PSH 5 at Riffe became SR 14 the same year. In 1967, SSH 5L was dropped from the state highway system. Riffe was inundated by the lake formed behind Mossyrock Dam. SR 14, renumbered US 12, was relocated on a more or less direct alignment from Mossyrock to Morton that included part of former SSH 5L. The SR 141 designation was moved to a diferent state highway.
