Secondary State Highway 5N

SSH 5N was added to the state highway system in 1955. This route began at Jct PSH 5 (then US 410, now SR 167) in Puyallup and headed south coincident with SSH 5G to the South Hill area. SSH 5G left SSH 5N at South Hill and headed west. SSH 5N continued south to Eatonville.

In 1967, SSH 5N, by this time signed as SR 161, was extended southwesterly from Eatonville to Jct PSH 5 (SR 7). Today, SSH 5N is part of SR 161.
