Shauna Asgharian has been studying dogs and breeds since she was 7, and she has been showing & training dogs for 5 years. In September of 1995 they discovered Dog 4-H and enrolled with a group called K-9 Connections with her 105lb Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd cross. In early 1996 she enrolled in a different group called Dogs R Us, where she stayed there until late 1996. In October 1996 she got McKara's A Taste For Success from Karen Chestney of McKara Collies. She fell instantly in love with Jordan. It wasn't until she tried him out on an Agility Course at a 4-H meeting that she discovered his love for Agility, which has never died! In December 1998 she heard from her friend Katie about an Australian Shepherd breeder in Oregon with nice dogs. Since Jordan couldn't be used in the conformation ring, she had been looking for either show collie or a show aussie, so she decided to check Tri-Smith out. Pretty soon they had a good deal worked out, and in September 1999 she got Tri-Smith's Ima Star Bar None. Stevie will now be starting her Conformation show career this year, whilst Jordan will be Shauna's companion/Jrs dog for the most part. Shauna shows in conformation, obedience, & Jr. Showmanship mostly, but she enjoys Agility also. She is mostly just a collie and aussie shower, but has handled many other dogs in 4-H and classes -- beagles, australian cattle dogs, shetland sheepdogs, poodles(miniature), golden retrievers, and labrador retrievers. One of her biggest show wins are her 3 Over-all Grand Champion in 4-H Fitting & Showing awards.
Shauna also helps teach and help the younger/beginner kids in her local 4-H club about obedience and fitting & showing(jr. showmanship).
Knightsbridge Kennels strives on only breeding to exceed the standards of Collies and Aussies, not to over-populate the breed with bad examples. All of our dogs are tested in all areas before being bred and must be clear on all. We also do not breed our dogs until they are finished champions with a good reputation on them.
If you have any more questions about Knightsbridge's program, please feel free to e-mail Shauna with your questions.
