Need For Speed 2

The codes should be entered into the 'Password' box, which can be accessed by selecting 'Options' followed by 'Password'. First let's get the stuff you probably already know out of the way:

To get the bonus car, the Ford Indigo, enter LILZIP.

To get the bonus track, Monolithic Studios, enter SHOTME.

Yep, for sure: Put in any code and press start to enter it. When the game has confirmed the code (with 'Secret Car') press 'Password' again. Enter POWRUP and bingo, whatever car you chose, it'll do at least 200mph.

Now, 200mph is fast in any car, but when you're in a 2CV or a School Bus.. well, give it a go

Audi 100 Quattro Year (est.): 1990 Top Speed: 130mph Special: None Remarks: This could be an 80 or a 100, but I decided on the former on a hunch :) QUATME

BMW 525 Year (est.): 1995 Top Speed: 135mph Special: None Remarks: It's a bit slow, even for the bottom of the range model. Maybe it's a diesel. BMRME

Citröen 2CV6 Year (est.): 1986 Top Speed: 65mph Special: None Remarks: The funny thing about this car is that you could probably buy a real one for the price of the game. What a thought. CITME

Jeep (original style) Year (est.): 1990's Top Speed: 101mph Special: The canopy always stays beige. Remarks: It's just the classic 4x4 machine it always was. YJME

Jeep (truck) Year (est.): 1995 Top Speed: 110mph Special: None Remarks: It's a pick-up truck. Ummmm. That's it. JEPME

Mazda MX-5 / Miata Year (est.): 1996 Top Speed: 110mph Special: None Remarks: This car isn't desperately quick, but it does handle like it's on rails. It's possible to drive with your foot to the floor all the way round the Outback track. MAZME

Mercedes-Benz 380SL Year (est.): 1992 Top Speed: 140mph Special: None Remarks: I'm not absolutely sure of the model number. It's pretty quick though. BNZME

Toyota Land-Cruiser Year (est.): 1992 Top Speed: 100mph Special: None Remarks: Odd looking thing, this. I'm guessing it's a Land-Cruiser from the code. It's got a lot of lights, anyway. LCME

Volvo 740 Year (est.): 1996 Top Speed: 125mph Special: None Remarks: Yes indeed, you too can drive as if you are invincible! This big estate/station wagon will go fast enough to make the other drivers nervous. VOVME

Volkswagen 1303 Year (est.): 1973 Top Speed: 83mph Special: None Remarks: Whether you know it as a VW Beetle or a VW Bug, there's no denying that it's a 20th century icon, and now you can make it turn somersaults and be run over by enormous trucks. BUGME

Volkswagen Fastback Year (est.): 1975 Top Speed: 101mph Special: None Remarks: The exotic, luxurious, quicker version of the Beetle/Bug. I'm not convinced I want to own one though (unless I can have a Pioneer engine in mine :) BEETME

Volkswagen Camper Year (est.): 1987 Top Speed: 95mph Special: None Remarks: Maybe you want to go on a road trip, maybe you just want to take your surfboard to the beach. Or maybe you want to drive a van off the edge of a cliff in Turkey, in which case you're in luck. VANME

School Bus Year (est.): 1970's? Top Speed: 80mph Special: You can have it in any color as long as it's yellow =-o Remarks: It's one of the long school buses, so handbrake turns are spectacular. And you can pretend to be Sandra Bullock in Speed, how exciting. BUSME

Stretch Limo Year (est.): 1993 Top Speed: 100mph Special: Always white, and always very tacky. Remarks: Black windows, six wheels, 40 feet long at least, a jacuzzi in the back!- if you ever wanted to be a chauffeur, here's your chance. If you ever wondered whether one of those things would flip end over end if it did a jump and was going fast enough - here's your chance :) LIMOME

Semi Year (est.): 1990 Top Speed: 100mph Special: None Remarks: "Breaker breaker, this is Rubber Duck, over!" "This is Wispy Insect, I hear you Rubber Duck, let's crash the gate, over!" "That's a big 10-4 Wispy, over and out". If you are Kris Kristofferson, stop growing your beard, get a PlayStation and relive those old days! If you aren't Kris Kristofferson, start growing a beard (yes, even you ladies), get in your semi and pretend to be him! SEMIME

Mercedes-Benz Unimog (Army livery) Year (est.): 1972 Top Speed: 65mph Special: Only the cab can change color. Remarks: It's big and slow, but it is very good for biffing cars out of the way, if that's your thing. ARMYME

Mercedes-Benz Unimog (Snow livery) Year (est.): 1972 Top Speed: 65mph Special: Only the cab can change colour. Remarks: Same as above, except it's been somewhere snowy, or maybe someone painted fake snow on it as a hilarious joke. Or maybe it's not snow, but actually cuckoo spit. I think it's probably snow. SNOWME

Monolithic Studios Tram Year (est.): 1996 Top Speed: 45mph Special: Always grey. Remarks: Dull is the word that springs to mind, but wide and slow arrive not far behind. You won't spend much time with this one unless you decide to pump it up with the Pioneer upgrade, in which case you just might. TRAMME

Outhouse / Outside Toilet Year (est.): 1925 Top Speed: 200mph Special: Wood colour. Remarks: Okay, this is a very fast toilet. It is a bit skittish, seeing as it has a very short wheelbase (okay, nowheelbase). It goes very well round corners though. I suppose if you were inside when it took off, at least you wouldn't have to worry about the possible bowel-related side effects anyway :) OUTHME

Crate Year (est.): 1989 Top Speed: 200mph Special: Again, wood coloured. Remarks: A very fast wooden box. CRATME

Log Year (est.): 1768 Top Speed: 200mph Special: Wood colour. Remarks: The log is long, but the log is speedy. Beware of sharp corners, as the log does not have a sharp turn in. Souvenir Stand (closed) Year (est.): 1975 Top Speed: 200mph Special: Closed Souvenir Stand colour Remarks: So you've closed up, have you? Very sensible. Tyrannosaurus Rex Year (est.): Millions of years ago - or has he escaped? Top Speed: 180mph Special: Tyrannosaurus Rex colour. Remarks: This is an enormous dinosaur. And the force with which (s)he boots cars out of the way is only surpassed by the force with which (s)he hits the ground moments later. Oddly, this seems to be a T.Rex on wheels - maybe even very large inline skates. Oh, and remember to try the horn on this one especially, and hold it down - fantastic! TREXME
