MARINERS BASEBALL GAME
When You Go To A Major League Baseball Game Remember To:
- Don't forget your tickets, you can't get in without them.
- Bring some of your favorite candy to snack on.
- Stay close to your parents, you can get lost with so many people around.
First you have to get some tickets to the game. My Dad got these from his boss at work. Tell your Dad he can get some from his boss too, he just needs to do a little "brown nosing".
Then drive down to the stadium and park as close as you can, that way your Dad won't have to carry you on his shoulders as far.
Make sure you leave early enough to see the first pitch. We have a new stadium in Seattle and it is called Safeco Field. It has a retractable roof that they can put over the field if it is raining.
There is always good food to eat. My Grandpa says that it wouldn't be baseball without peanuts and beer. I like peanuts and my Grandpa helps me get them out of the shell.
Here is a picture of Ricky Henderson on first base and Alex Rodriguez up at bat. My Dad says that they are both going to be in th Hall of Fame someday.
Don't forget your mitt, you might need it to catch a foul ball.
The "Bull Pen" is where the pitchers warm up before they come into the game. Also if you have learned your numbers you can tell what the score is on the "Score Board".
Safeco Field has everything, even a playground. So, when there isn't anything exciting to going on in the game ask your Dad to take you there.
