Goodbye
We felt each other slowly slipping away
like grains of sand seeping through our
fingers.
Something that once was so solid was now
eroding with each passing moment .
We both secretly knew in our hearts that we
wouldn't last forever .
Each scared to say the words that needed to be said .
Feelings that would make it harder to part with .
For the clouds that were collapsing ...which were once our
heaven .
Raining like the tears from our eyes...the thunder in our hearts .
The pain so strong...trembling ... embarassing each other .
We parted ways knowing the time had come to say goodbye .
Both of us keeping a little part of each others hearts.
Always cherishing the precious moments we had spent together.
Laughing ,crying , talking and even arguing .
Sharing our deepest dreams and desires.
We knew we made the right decision ,
even thought we still felt the pain and heartache
of "GOODBYE"
