It is my purpose with 21st Century Worship to provide to you, the user, something of worth. Between the music on the radio station which is freely available and the assorted knowledge and resources that are housed in the web page, I strive to give you something of value so you will return time and time again and make good use of them. On none of those times you come back to 21st Century Worship will you ever come to find that what was once free now has a cost. I may at some time in the future change how I present the ministry of 21st Century Worship, but never will I allow it to force me to "pass on the cost" to you.
The hosting service for the radio station is live365.com. Live365 allows users to create their own radio station, uploading their own music. At this time there are expenses involved in doing this. When I created my station in the summer of 2001 it was free, and at this time remains free for those who already had created stations. The only costs involved in creating the radio station was developing my music library so songs from the new CD's could be included. The downside of using this free service is advertisements. The player window has ads inserted, the playlist has commercials interspersed, and pop ups, the most dreaded intrusion of all, offer live365 (not me) sources of revenue that make me able to provide this station at no cost. I did sign up for their "referral program" that rewards me the grand sum of 3 cents for each new person who clicks the the text link on the left edge of my pages that take you to the live365 site. If it adds up to $25 they'll send me a check. I don't think I'll quit my day job just yet!
The host for the 21st Century Worship website is Angelfire. For the minor annoyance of the banner at the top of the page, Angelfire provides the server space where 21st Century Worship resides. Here the investment on my part was in time, not cash. My initial site design was completely scrapped because of grotesque Netscape incompatibilities. There are still a few (see next section, About Netscape), but it's not nearly as bad.
The essential purpose of this section is to apologize. I know there are ads to deal with, but they are not my doing. Click on the things if you want, but don't assume the destination is anything promoted by 21st Century Worship.
I have learned after creating this site and uploading it to the Web server that there are a few problems with viewing the site when using the Netscape browser.
The buttons on the left side of the page use java to change the text color when the mouse is over the button. The last button, Listen! has an animated GIF rather than an alternate color GIF displayed when the mouse is over the button. Netscape doesn't like them. Generally the button goes away, but on a few occasions the button either did not change at all or displayed as intended (only once actually). i am working on a correction, but for now netscape users will want to click the text link below, then do a search for either "21st Century Worship" as the page name or "leegunter" as the Broadcaster name. I know it's annoying, but I'll have a fix soon.
Also, I have seen some troubles with internal page links with Netscape, as it is a bit more finicky about how they must work. As I learn of the problems (i.e. on the "discography" page) I will try to correct them.
For those of you who use Netscape, please do not feel slighted, even though it would be within your right. I overwhelmingly welcome your feedback about any problems or issues encountered when viewing any 21st Century Worship web pages.
Since I decided to create a page where all that does not fit elsewhere will go, it seemed fitting to make mention of those tools I am using to create the various parts of 21st Century Worship.
When developing web pages, I edit with Homepage version 4.0, by Allaire. Allaire is distributing version 4.5.2 now, so I have had mine for a while.
When working with graphics, I use an old 4.12 version of Paint Shop Pro (again, I've never upgraded). For creating the button images (as well as a few others), I am using Button Studio ver 1.44, by Interkodex. It's not registered, so the least I can do is give then a plug here. when I created the single animated GIF on the site, I used the Babarosa Gif Animator 2.0, from Liatro.
No non original graphics are used on these pages - so far. But the white on white embossed titles were created using Cooltext, an amazing, and free, banner and button generator I found by blind luck a couple years ago. If you have need for such a thing, I recommend it highly.
As is the rest of the nation, I stand appalled by the actions that occurred so recently on September 11, 2001 and plunged our world into turmoil and war. Now is the time for Christians worldwide to stand firm in their faith and love. Please continue praying for our nations leaders and those who are both figuratively and literally "in the trenches".
The 21st Century Worship symbol is a "W" for worship, but represented by a stylistic representation of a pair of hands raised in worship. My ability to design pretty graphics is limited, and at this point the symbol reflects that. but later it will look more professional. Granted, it's pretty far down on my priority list, but its there ... eventually.

21st Century is not about fast, rock and role music tunes about Jesus. It's not about what worship and praise tunes have been written in the last 12 months are being sung by the hottest new "worship" groups. 21st Century Worship began as a project to support the 21st Century Worship radio station. As I studied and the vision grew, it became immensely more. Dozens of books and sermons later I feel like I have been given a far more clear understanding of what worship truly is. This site will, over time, endeavor to share that vision.
A site map will be available soon for those who find them helpful for navigating web sites. Even though the site is still in progress, I'm already in the process of a full site redesign. sometimes I'm busier than others, but never doubt that there will always be more to see if you come back again.
21st Century is a not for profit effort created and administered by Lee Gunter, a private individual. 21st Century Worship has no affiliation with any other entities of similar name or function, nor with any entities which Lee Gunter may be associated with. If you believe anything on these pages is violation of copyright laws, or if any other issues or concerns are present, please email me immediately so they can be settled to everyones satisfaction. All sites linked to are distinct from 21st Century Worship, and 21st Century Worship is not responsible for any of the content found within those sites.
Soon I'll be adding a guestbook, so you can let me knw that you dropped by and check out what others have had to say. Please take time to sign the guest book so I'll know you were here!
