The most important single ingredient to a successful door-to-door registration drive is having enough people to do the job right -- and that means volunteers. There is a misconception that people won't help, but this is not so. Enrolled Republicans, and even Independents, are often times willing and even anxious to volunteer their time and effort to a single project such as this.

Public opinion polls have indicated that 80% of the voters have never been asked to volunteer in a political campaign. From that group, the vast majority would be more than willing to participate in the -political process if someone asked them.

 Volunteer a few hours of their time for this one specific project: door-to-door canvassing in a concentrated registration drive to identify and sign up Republicans.
