King Henry of the Felines
Singapura
Weight 5-7 lbs.
Overview The smallest of the domestic cat breeds, Singapuras are quiet, affectionate, curious, and intelligent. They love to play fetch, and generally like to join in their owners' activities.

They crave human companionship; plan to spend some time with this perky feline.

Appearance Singapuras are small, muscular, moderately stocky cats. The head is rounded, with prominent hazel, green, or yellow eyes and large, moderately pointed ears.

The most remarkable aspect of this wee cat is the subtle coloration of the short, silky, close-lying coat: It is a pale ivory color with sepia ticking covering the entire body except the stomach, chest, and muzzle.

Origins These cats were allegedly discovered on the streets of Singapore and imported to the United States in the early 1970s. Because they were not accompanied by official papers recording their origin or place of entry, some people question this history. Most breed associations accept the Singapura for registry.
