ACHIEVEMENTS

HE inherited the family home place and 100 acres of land from his father, Joseph. William remained on his inherited land and raised eighteen children from his two wives. Both of his wives were sisters. A very large part of North Carolina's Millsap family owes their ancestry to him.
WILLIAM died shortly after 1840, as this was his last transaction in land deeds for Iredell County. He had to sell his possessions to satisfy a judgement levied against him on 18 November 1840. He was security on several loans made by a second party to a first party and these loans were found in default. Therefore, he had to make good on these defaults. During that date, he appointed his son, Thomas, to be his trustee to dispose of the balance of his property.
HIS estate consisted of the following:
 1) 150 acres,
 2) 95 acres,
 3) 100 acres subject to reduction of 72 acres sold to Litten Millsap,
 4) 171 acres less reduction of 50 acres sold to Joshua Mize who married his daughter, Elizabeth,
 5) Three head of horses,
 6) One wagon and harness,
 7) Seven head of cattle,
 8) Twenty-six head of sheep,
 9) Thirty head of hogs,
10) One still and vessels,
11) 150 bushels of corn,
12) Six bushels of wheat,
13) 200 bushels of oats,
14) Fifteen bushels of flax seed, and
15) One windmill.
