Bellingham Observers of the Odd and Obscure

 … Code of Conduct … Â

It is our duty to remind all members of BOOO that you are not only representing yourself but your team before, during and after an investigation.
The onsite team leader makes all the decisions concerning the investigation. Failure to follow directions and B.O.O.O. policies will result in termination from the group.
Anyone exhibiting unsafe behavior in meetings or on location of an investigation will be terminated at once.
All questions from the police, media, and others should be directed to the team leader of that investigation, unless you are informed to do otherwise prior to the start of the investigation.
All investigations will and must be preformed in a courteous and professional manner.
Privacy and respect of the business, homes and people involved in the investigation must be respected. Â
Any felony convictions (While a Member of B.O.O.O.)
Any member attending a B.O.O.O. meeting or investigation under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or having drug parahnialia present, will be dismissed.Â
Any conduct detrimental to the groups interests.
All information that is gathered during B.O.O.O. investigations shall stay in the archives remaining confidential with-in B.O.O.O. files. This information cannot be taken or given out for any reason other than B.O.O.O. business.
Attempting to influence, counsel, guilt, and shame or otherwise press your or my beliefs onto the site persons. (WE ARE GUESTS!) If persons whom have invited us into their home, business’ etc…are troubled by the spirits and wish to seek methods to helping them to the other side, we may have information to help them… The best time for this is after the investigation. Otherwise we may not get evidence recorded!!! Does that make sense??? Our group has referral sources to help people out in this area, should it arise.Â
Refusing to perform realist duties. If you’re here for the excitement of the on site investigations and will not help with building the psychical reporting, you will be a drain and will be asked to leave.
Being disrespectful of any other team members. If you have a problem with anyone, settle it out of the meetings. If you cannot find a solution to your conflicts, please take it up with the director whom may act as an arbitrary.
Coming to a meeting or investigation with a negative attitude will be grounds to be directed to leave. Failure to do so will/can result in termination from B.O.O.O. This is counter productive for the group and will hamper an investigation. We welcome positive attitudes and an open mind. If you’re having a bad day, week, month, or year, PLEASE take care of yourself. Trying to hold it together and be present in the middle of an investigation or meeting is not taking care of yourself…
