  Title: The Roswell Report

Author:Captain James McAndrew

ISBN: 0-16-049018-9

This book may be purchased from the U.S. Government Printing Office

 MUST READ!!

This book presented one news clipping that brought my confidence in the whole Roswell event down to about 15% from a high of 75%. The news clipping :

"When the debris was gathered up the tinfoil, paper, tape, and sticks made a bundle about three feet long and 7 or 8 inches htick, while the rubber made a bundle about 18 or 20 inches long and about 8 inches thick. In all, he estimated, the entire lot would have weighed maybe five pounmds."

"There were no words to be found anywhere on the instrument, although there were letters on some of the parts. Considerable scotch tape and some tape with flowerw printed upon it had been used in the construction."

The above is the description of the debris given by its discoverer, W.W. Brazel shortly after the discovery. The quote is from the July 9, 1947 Roswell Daily Record. This story is photocopied on page 8 of the book.

The book is highly detailed, comprehensive and easy to read.

  Title: The Day After Roswell

Author:Lt. Col. Philip Corso (R)(dec)'

ISBN: 0-671-00461-1

 MUST READ!!

This is the book that almost killed Strom Thurmond, the ancient Senator from South Carolina. Corso asked Thurmond to write a foreword for his new book. Thurmond gladly wrote the foreword. Several months later when the book was published and Thurmond discovered the subject matter of the book, he had an apoplectic fit and really blasted Corso.

This book is exactly what you would expect from a guy who was there and did the things Corso claimed to do. It reminds me of the book Spycatcher which documented the search for the top Russian mole in British intelligence. It is written in a matter of fact style and is easily read.

Corso talks about Tesla and other American geniuses and gives inside information about the Cuban Missile Crisis.

I have had people communicate to me that the book is a complete fraud because of some gross errors in dates, but it is fascinating and anybody seriously interested in UFOs should read this book.
