This 66 Tempest I bought for $500 from a guy up the road. It was in bad shape but had potential. Before I bought it I looked through the service records. The engine was rebuilt 9 years ago, rear diff. replaced 7 years ago, and so on. But the car although was kept outside only driven 1 or 2 days a month so that 9 year old rebuilt engine and only 3k on it. The interior had mushrooms growing on the seats. I spent the weekend with several rags, a dozen toothbrushes a box of q-tips and a gallon of simple green but I got the inside spotless, minus the carpet which got replaced. The car was covered in bad surface rust but no body damage. It took some friends and I a few weeks to clean it up. Some primer and off the paint shop. I spent a total of $1,200 including the initial price to buy it. I sold it for a LOT more.
My pride and joy not to mention Daily dreiver and weekend street racer for the last 5 years. The GT
This is our 91 Saab 9000CD we picked it up to replace the GT. It has under the hood a 2.3T. Full leather, power and heated seats. To keep it short its power everything and has a HUGE trunk.:)
My Baby this is a 1963 Buick Skylark. There were 10,212 built. This was fully restored by my uncle. I loved it, so when he said he was going to sell it that is why I sold my 67. The Buick has Power steering, Power Top, Remote Mirror and Bucket seats. Under the hood is the smallest V8 ever built. A 215ci V8 that weighs in at 300lbs, as it is all aluminum. Aluminum block, heads and intake. Equipped with a factory 4bbl it came with 200HP. The engine currently has an adaptor to suppoet the turbo 350 trans. Bolted to it. I am searching for the original 4speed that came on some of the cars.
This was a free 87 Merkur XR4TI. the plan was to fix it and make it a daily driver, but upon going through the car i found to many problems to want to deal with it. it was stripped (all spare parts for me) and only a rusted shell was hauled away. 87 XR4TI
This 87 Merkur XR4TI i bought after making the decision to part with the 87 and deciding i could not live without one of these cars. i wont go into detail here as it has its own dedicated page.My XR4TI
This is I at 17 in my first car. It is a 67 mustang with a 289ci, 215hp v8. It had the C4 transmission. I bought it from the original owner when I was 15, which gave me some time to work on it. I replaced the carpet, sanded and repainted the interior. I was going to have the seats re-upholstered, but I found one parting out with new seats, hardware and everything. I got what I needed and new seats and all. I didn’t even know what a carburetor was when I got the car, but a year later I rebuilt the engine out of a book. I have been hooked on cars ever since.
Another car I bought from the original owner. This 71chevelle had 69k original miles on it. The owner just got done restoring it well 99% done. It had a rebuilt 350, rebuilt turbo 350 rebuilt rear with 4.11 gears, all new glass and whether stripping, new carpet and paint. The car never even had a door ding in its life; they just wanted to restore their favorite car. When the car had only 15 miles on the restore they had to sell it. Since they knew for several years at that point I picked it up for $3,500. I finished putting all the trim back on it, cruised it all that summer. I let a friend buy it from me for what I had into it. One month later it ended up in a scarp yard, as some one ran a red light and T-Boned it. (R.I.P)
The beast. This was my 75 GMC Jimmy last year of the full convertible. I bough it bone stock for one purpose, OFF road. I rebuilt the 350engine swapped in a new Turbo 350, put a four inch all spring suspension lift (no cheap blocks in the rear), got some chrome rims and 35’s. The inside needed some work. So I replace the two front seats with prelude seats, and the bench rear with two more prelude seats. I beat the crap out the truck. So when it was time to sell it I HAD to restore it. I HAVE NEVER SOLD ANYTHING IN WORST CONDITION THAN I BOUGHT IT. So I replace the tailgate, both doors, doth fenders, hood, billet grill, new bumpers, new windshield, slider windows in removable top, two inch body lift so the new fenders wouldn’t have to be cut to clear the tires at full travel, new carpet, Limo tint, just because, and finally a new paint job. SOLD!
Not much to say here I was just playing around with this one only had it a few months. It is a 75 Datsun pickup that I chopped for practice. I put in a 350ci for the hell of it, and prelude seats for comfort. I loaned it to a friend and he sideswiped a telephone pole. That ended the project.
The Toyota, not much here I was looking for fuel economy and I just couldn’t fit right in it. The engine quitting two months after I bought didn’t help much either. So I did an engine swap and sent it on its way. I think I lost 5 bucks on the whole deal.
This is an 88 5speed notch Mustang I found for $300 I swapped the interiorout of an 90 GT into it. The 95 cobra R wheels along with a complete suspension upgrade i sold it to my brother along with everything necassary to completea conversion from a 2.3N/A a 2.3T motor. It is now a matter of time. The Notch
