Glycyrrhizin
\Gly*cyr"rhi*zin\, n. [Cf. F. glycyrrhizine. See Glycyrrhiza.]
(Chem.) A glucoside found in licorice root (Glycyrrhiza),
in monesia bark (Chrysophyllum),
in the root of the walnut, etc., and extracted as a yellow, amorphous powder, of
a bittersweet taste.
