If you want an exotic place to visit this is the place! Hutt River Province seceded from the Commonwealth of Australia on 21st of April 1970 and has ever since been an independent territory. The sovereignty of this territory is by judicial law invested with the Government in occupancy, the Administration Board which has bestowed the title of Prince on Leonard George Casley, The Administrator.

What to see?
The main centre of the Principality is known as "Nain" and has got an Administration building and a post office (with own postage stamps), twin gift shops, the Secession Monument and a Chapel. The Chapel of Nain was blessed 29th August 1973 by the Rev. F.W. Catley, Rector of the Northampton Anglican Church. Outside the small township you can go hiking up Mount Secession which has a construction on the top called "the eye of the needle" which gives a great view of the Hutt River valley. Wildlife are bountiful and it is not uncommon to spot Kangaroos or wild pigs.
