The 2002 UW Football season was quite the roller coaster ride. Beginning with the debaucle at Michigan in which, thanks to Rick Neuheisel, the Dawgs ended up losing 31-29...we went on to cream perennial powerhouses Idaho, Wyoming and San Jose State. In a shocker, Cal ended the Dawgs winning streak against them and, for the first time in close to 3 years, UW lost a homegame. It was a traumatizing event for us all...especially losing to UCLA the game after. After winning the NW Championship by defeating OSU, absolutely dominating Oregon and not surprisingly beating the Cougars, the Dawgs went on to play 1 quarter of football in the Sun Bowl against Purdue and decided to go on an early vacation. The Boilers won 34-24, capping a 7-6 season for the Dawgs.
