Carolyn May Geschwend 1920

Detroit, Michigan

Carolyn and husband Anthony Benedick - Married 1938 in Reno, NV

Carolyn was a housewife and loving mother all of her married life. After Anthony died in 1970 she found the job of her dreams, working at Alameda Free Library. Why was it the job of her dreams? She loved to read. She told me one day that she would sometimes read two books at the same time. When I asked if she got the plots mixed up, she said no..............

She retired from the library in 1985 and then traveled all over the US with her friends.

In 1995, she moved to Oak Harbor, WA on Whidbey Island to be near her daughter. There she would spend her last years enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Died April 6, 2005
