Crime
Prevention Through Spirit's Power
Introduction:
Webster's Dictionary: An advocate is "one who pleads the cause of another.
Specifically, one who pleads the cause of another before a tribunal or judicial
court. Counselor.
Attributes of Christ the Advocate:
1. Jesus Christ is righteousness.
- a) No word of guile (deceit or trickery) was ever found in His mouth. (1
Peter 2:22, Isaiah 53:9) Jesus said: I can do nothing of Myself, but as I
hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I seek not My own will, but
the will of Him that send Me. (John 5:30) Because of His righteous judgment,
Jesus evangelism was unique. To the rich young ruler who said he'd kept the
law, Jesus said: Go sell what you have! (Matt. 19:21)
- b) His heavenly righteousness as God manifest to mankind, enables him to
clearly see what is the truth of each case. With men and women who argue their
own case, there may be as scripture says, a mote or a beam in the eye which
causes us not to see clearly, but it is not so with Jesus. In Rev. 16:5-7, the
angel declares: "Righteous are you who is and who was, O Holy One, because you
did judge these things."
- c) Jesus Christ as both Lord (God) and Christ, (Messiah) means that He is
also Judge of All. His supreme and heavenly righteousness allows him to
understand the importance of "righteous judgment."
Christians are familiar with the concept of Jesus Christ as Advocate
with the Father, if any man sins, because this is promised in God's word. What I
see coming to the church, is a far greater understanding of the office of the
Heavenly Advocate, which will come to the church by revelation. This is
not limited to forgiveness of sins. It takes in a far more vast area of
responsibility, when it comes to the "ministry of defence attorney and the
ministry of defence."
This will be manifest in numerous ways:
- Jesus Christ "The Advocate," will manifest Himself in and through members
of the church in these last days, with words of wisdom and words of knowledge
to over-rule false judgments in the land. The bible tells us evil men and
seducers will wax worse and worse. (2 Timothy 3:13) Yet this is a righteous
standard in Christ. So look to Him. Don't get counsel from reasoning within
your self, or from listening to the Counsel of the ungodly. What's the counsel
of the ungodly? That's their ungodly advocate, giving them instructions as to
how to rob you! Their advocasy may be the reasonings of their own mind, or
input that's demonically inspired. But it's against all God is doing in your
life! And God has given instructions in His word, as to how to bring it to
nought! (Psalm 1:1) Apostle Paul said: It pleased God to reveal His Son in
Him, that he might preach Him among the heathen. Galatians 1:16)) As part of
this preaching, Paul was not afraid to stand up for his rights as a Roman
citizen. Jesus prophesied that some will be delivered up to councils, and
betrayed and put to death. (Mark 13:12)
Some they won't put to death, but the devil can make you wish you were dead,
like Jezebel who persecuted Elijah! But Elijah found the great judge of all was merciful,
and sent him angels food. Believe Christ the Advocate to comfort and defend
you! Apostle Paul didn't believe martyrdom at the hands of the Jews or the
Romans for preaching Christ, was God's highest best for him! Seek the Lord and
His will for your life!
- As anti-christ spirits through world government attempts to encroach upon
the church, words of wisdom and knowledge from our Heavenly Advocate Jesus
Christ will literally settle law disputes, for churches and individuals, as
the church expects these breakthroughs, and receives them from the Lord. "But
the wise shall understand..." (Daniel 12:10)
- When you're hauled before magistrates, and you know you have been a
faithful witness of Jesus Christ, remember Israel, when an evil report was
generated against them, by Rabshakah, Sennacherib's general. Rabshakah was so
clever, he said: "God sent me to punish you." (2 Kings 18) He said: Don't
listen to Hezekiah. (The leader God placed in authority) But Hezekiah prayed
and spread the evil report before the Lord.
God gave Hezekiah an answer through the Prophet Isaiah, saying: I have
heard you! God said: The enemy has raised his voice aganst Me! He's repreached
the Lord! I will save this city (Jerusalem) for My own sake and for My servant
David's sake! That enemy will not come to this city! (2 Kings 19:32-33)(2
Kings 19:22-23) If you have done wrong, repent. Jesus Christ the Advocate will
defend you as a son, as a daughter of the Most High God.
- Spiritual wickness in high places, operating through the clever
deceitfulness of men will be exposed. "So it will happen in that day, that the
Lord will punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of
the earth. "(Isaiah 24:21)
- You will see wealth of the wicked that's been laid up for the just and
which has been laid up for this specific hour and prophetic season of God
released for the church to get the message of salvation to the lost. God told
Solomon, "because you did not ask for riches, wealth, honour, the lives of
those who know you, or long life for yourself, but have asked for wisdom and
knowledge, that you might rule my people, over whom I made you king; I will
give you riches, wealth, honour. (2 Chron. 1:11) Many have been through a time
of testing of the Lord, to see if God is Lord of all in your lives. God has
been trying you as gold in the fire, to approve you with greater
responsibility as stewards.
- Those Christian who have been falsely accused will be exonerated.
- The administration of leadership giftings such as apostleship, pastoring,
evangelism, teaching, will be of a higher caliber, as Christ the Righteous
Advocate is allowed to impart revelation to those working with converts.
Sinners (those who wish to continue in sin) will not stand in the congregation
of the righteous. (Psalm 1:5)Presently pastors deal with people with long
standing issues in their churches, that can be solved by one word from the
Advocate.
