The Wheaton Wildcats jump on the Expos early and coast to 9-3 win

The Wheaton Wildcats jumped out to an early lead on the Expos and captured a 9-3 victory on Sunday at Niles North H.S.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Wheaton Wildcats to put the game away early.

A groundout by Pete Sekalias and an RBI single by Drew Vondran in the first inning and an RBI single by Mike Chen during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Wheaton Wildcats.
John Monge racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wheaton Wildcats. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

The Expos couldn't get anything going so long as Karl Lundholm was on the hill. The Expos managed just two hits off of the the Wheaton Wildcats' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Andy Pucher recorded the win for the Wheaton Wildcats. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out nine, walked five and surrendered five hits.
