WWA Cancells UK Tour

Andrew McManus' World Wrestling All-Stars have canceled their July dates for Ireland, Germany, and Switzerland. The tour is off due to poor advanced ticket sales for most of the cities of the tour, although Ireland was said to have had a very good advance.

Germany as a country right now is a hard sell for entertainment acts as the economy is very bad there. The WWA tour had a double whammy going in as there is very little interest in professional wrestling there right now, with nothing airing on free television and only one hour of wrestling (old WCW tapes) airing on Pay station Premiere World.

When the talent for the tour was informed of the cancellation, they were not given any word on whether the dates would be rescheduled. A tour for Great Britain was postponed and rescheduled for November. From all accounts, McManus and the WWA wanted to move ahead with this tour and it was the local promoters in Germany who opted that it was best not to run based on the advances.
