V-Man's
"I'm lost for names" 2nd Column.
Hey fans! this marks my second column for WWAFanz.com! and I must say that
I am lost because I can't think of a name for my column any suggestions E-Mail
me at peterknott@talk21.com
Now on to Eruption, from what I have heard it was a "Average PPV"
let me run the results again:
The Eruption @ Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia
AJ Styles won a tournament to win the WWA Cruiserweight championship.
Tio beat Puppet in a hardcore and I am told that they dived off a 6 foot ladder!
Ernset Miller/Brian Christopher beat Stevie Ray/Buff Bagwell
The Funkster beat Carl Oulette
Sabu beat Devon Storm in a steel cage match
Midajah beat Queen Bee in a evening gown match
Scott Steiner won the WWA World Heavyweight Championship from Nathan Jones.
Still I can't help thinking that WWA is doomed why? because Eddie Guerrero
decided to say "Bye-Bye WWA, I'm back in the Big Time" and left
the championship to AJ Styles, Jerry Lynn should be given the championship
as it will be a perfect ending to the promsing Guerrero Vs. Lynn feud which
happened at WWA Revolution as Lynn could rip Guerrero up.
Scott Steiner are the PERFECT choice to win the big one as he are a perfect
candiate to be WWA representive as the badass heel, while it was brilliant
to see Australian Nathan Jones win the strap in his native Sydney in front
of his family and friends, Nathan are really too green to win the strap, I
mean we first saw Nathan last year in WWA first ever tour of Australia and
the United Kingdom.
Still I watched Nathan wrestle at the NEC Arena in Birmingham on 1st December
and he sure is BIG!!!!
Sabu Vs. Devon Storm, they collided at Revolution and again at Eruption, beware
though put the daredevils again will make the fans go "Not again I'm
taking a leak!". Just be careful Jermey Borash (he's the booker).
Teo Vs Puppet, I watched the pair wrestle in Revolution and it was quite amusing
but again its the Sabu and Devon Storm scenario. go easy Borash.
According to a cable analyst in America, Eruption only drew a low 18,000 buys
and Andrew McManus said that WWA will no longer be holding events in North
America, Andrew must stop and think the reasons why WWA are not well recieved
in North America I can certainly list the reasons:
1. Promotion in North America need to increase
2. North America are notoriously hard to crack as N.America are used to watching
"That other company"
I can offer solutions to the problems.
1. Increase promotion, and make the fans aware that there are oppostion to
"That other company"
2. Take time out and learn from WWA mistakes
3. Sign wrestlers to CONTRACTS!
4. Watch "That other company" shows and see how they produce shows
and LEARN
5. Be patient, it will take time to establish WWA, just look at WCW, they
took almost a decade to establish themselves and actually beat WWE reguarly.
And most importantly Andrew, don't be afraid of the camera as it can be your
friend (Just watch The Revolution and you will know what I mean).
I must comment on Join The Revolution video, I ordered WWA Revolution from
JTR Video and I was impressed with the video and I suggest you go to the shop
section of WWAFanz.com and have a look at JTR. they have all WWA tapes!
I will be present at WWA NEC Arena show in May 28th and I will bring my photos
(To claim a free WWA shirt or video take your photo and take photos of any
WWA event with a WWAFanz.com sign its that easy!)
The ticket sales of WWA UK tour are very poor and McManus said that if the
situation remains the same then he'll cancel WWA return dates in December
and take WWA elsewhere. I suggest you support WWA!
Really that's all!
I'll be back soon!
